The Undergraduate Liaison position is a rotational program where Freshmen can explore the different roles within the ICC E-Board and help out accordingly. They will work closely with the rest of the team throughout the semester on projects that involve all 28 pre-professional organizations at Stern. There will also be a mentorship component and workshops led by upperclassmen about anything from resume building to choosing apartments! As a UL, you will get the opportunity to familiarize yourself with all professional organizations on campus, what they have to offer, and engage with various student leaders.

Those selected will act as the voices for Class of 2025 to help bring awareness to topics that can help better the club community at Stern. The Undergraduate Liaison program is also a pipeline for future leadership positions in ICC!

Actuarial Society

NYU Actuarial Society's mentorship program is designed where each student is paired with an upperclassman mentor. No prior knowledge or experience is needed to join. All are welcome! The mentor will be able to offer any help that the mentee needs, including career choices, actuarial questions, or anything else in general! We will also have fun mentorship events throughout the semester!

Business Analytics Club

As a freshman in BAC’s Freshman Liaison Program, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of the organization and bringing your ideas to life, with workshops for crucial tech skills such as data analysis, Python, SQL, and recruiting. FLP members will work closely with their mentors to learn more about the club and the tech industry. There will also be a mentorship component and workshops led by upperclassmen about anything from coding with Python to choosing apartments! BAC’s FLP will equip members with the core professional and technical skills necessary in numerous career paths especially with technology rapidly changing business.

Insight Team

The primary goals of the insight team are to build upon the technical skills of students and foster a sense of community for students interested in the fields of tech and analytics through workshops and participation in a semester-long data science project . The students will work in groups of 3 with a Project Manager to answer a business question using a publicly available dataset, and building models and data visualizations.

Economic Development Group

News Team

Team members will write articles on economic development and related current event topics, and have them published on EDG's weekly newsletter as well as their website. Members will also have the opportunity to attend writing workshops and brainstorming sessions with fellow team members.

EDG Research Team

Students in the Research Team will be placed in teams of two that is assigned an upperclassman mentor. Each group will then conduct research on an economic development topic of their choice.

As a member of the team, students will go through an extremely informative training process followed by the opportunity to research an economic topic of their choice. Students will be aided by a Research Team Advisor, the EHS E-Board, and various Stern professors. Students who are part of the team will also be considered an EHS Honors Member which grants numerous benefits, specifically an accelerated application process for future E-Board positions.

The portfolio team is responsible for managing a portion of NYU's endowment. Analysts conduct research and generate investment ideas while managing existing positions within IAG’s portfolio. New initiates undergo a training program to learn about financial accounting, company analysis, and fundamental research to become a sophisticated investor.

IBA Fall 2021 Mentorship Program

The Core Consulting Committee is a 10-week training program and tight-knit community aimed at bridging the professional development gap for freshmen/sophomores exploring consulting careers. Since its inception, the program has evolved into applying the casing approach to problem-solving found within a diverse set of professions such as consulting, tech, finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship.

​10-week program: Learn how to excel at every component of case interviews during weekly workshops, to analyze 8 industries, and to pitch corporate strategy.

Professional development: Attend firm events, collaborate in case competitions, and polish personal stories through one-on-one interview prep with upperclassmen and mentors.

Mentorship and Community: Join a network of CCC alumni and experienced senior mentors and access frequent committee-only social and professional events. Find a community of like-minded individuals who will stay with you throughout the rest of your college career.

Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will be paired with a junior or senior mentor who has been involved in social impact at NYU! Mentors will be sending mentees a semester calendar once pairings have been announced, and mentees must decide at least two dates throughout the semester where they will meet their mentor. You may meet more than two times of course, but we want you to meet together at least twice. We will also be hosting mentorship socials where you can spend time with your mentor and get to know other mentors/mentees.

The Net Impact Finance Impact Industry Team is a program that explores the intersection of impact and finance. The program will cover a range of topics from sustainable investing philosophies to its application to various asset classes. The program will also include a series of basic technical workshops to help familiarize program members with looking at financial statements, analyzing key financial ratios, and building basic models. Meetings will take place weekly through zoom. There will be two deliverables that members will complete in pairs. Each pairing will also be matched with a mentor. Absolutely no finance knowledge is required nor expected. Looking for passion and intellectual curiosity!

Application Requirements: There are no application requirements to join the Volunteer Engagements (VE) program. However, some of its volunteer opportunities do require short responses explaining your interest/relevant experience. Others do not have any requirements at all.

As a club focused on doing good, we want to offer our members the ability to make a difference in society. The Venturist

As a VC and tech writer, team members will be responsible for producing one original research article on a VC or tech-related topic of your choice every three weeks. Team members will pitch your article idea to the publication editors, after which they will have two weeks to write and one week to complete revisions from Venturist editors. Aside from the formal writing process, they will also participate in skill building workshops as part of this program that will help you improve your research and writing skills, including data analysis and visualization, conducting informational interviews, search engine optimization, and more. After their semester with the Venturist, they will have one or more writing pieces that you can include in your professional portfolio and a plethora of new skills that can be applied to roles in venture capital, digital marketing, and media.

Those who apply and get accepted into the USWIB Mentorship Program will go through the coffee chat process, request to be paired with a mentor, and attend a mentorship reveal. The program mutually pairs freshmen and sophomore students (mentees) with a junior or senior student (mentor), which allows for students to learn more about classes, New York City, and anything/everything from an upperclassmen. Overall, the USWIB Mentorship Program will help foster relationships personally, socially, and academically.
