NYU Actuarial Society's mentorship program is designed where each student is paired with an upperclassman mentor. No prior knowledge or experience is needed to join. All are welcome! The mentor will be able to offer any help that the mentee needs, including career choices, actuarial questions, or anything else in general! The primary goals of the insight team are to build upon the technical skills of students and foster a sense of community for students interested in the fields of tech and analytics through workshops and participation in a semester-long data science project . The students will work in groups of 3 with a Project Manager to answer a business question using a publicly available dataset, and building models and data visualizations.

The portfolio team is responsible for managing a portion of NYU's endowment. Analysts conduct research and generate investment ideas while managing existing positions within IAG’s portfolio. Since its inception, the program has evolved into applying the casing approach to problem-solving found within a diverse set of professions such as consulting, tech, finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
10-week program: Learn how to excel at every component of case interviews during weekly workshops, to analyze 8 industries, and to pitch corporate strategy.
Professional development: Attend firm events, collaborate in case competitions, and polish personal stories through one-on-one interview prep with upperclassmen and mentors.
Mentorship and Community: Join a network of CCC alumni and experienced senior mentors and access frequent committee-only social and professional events. Find a community of like-minded individuals who will stay with you throughout the rest of your college career.

We will also be hosting mentorship socials where you can spend time with your mentor and get to know other mentors/mentees.

The Net Impact Finance Impact Industry Team is a program that explores the intersection of impact and finance. The program will cover a range of topics from sustainable investing philosophies to its application to various asset classes. The program will also include a series of basic technical workshops to help familiarize program members with looking at financial statements, analyzing key financial ratios, and building basic models. Meetings will take place weekly through zoom. There will be two deliverables that members will complete in pairs. Each pairing will also be matched with a mentor. As a VC and tech writer, team members will be responsible for producing one original research article on a VC or tech-related topic of your choice every three weeks. Team members will pitch your article idea to the publication editors, after which they will have two weeks to write and one week to complete revisions from Venturist editors. Aside from the formal writing process, they will also participate in skill building workshops as part of this program that will help you improve your research and writing skills, including data analysis and visualization, conducting informational interviews, search engine optimization, and more. After their semester with the Venturist, they will have one or more writing pieces that you can include in your professional portfolio and a plethora of new skills that can be applied to roles in venture capital, digital marketing, and media.
