Application links for all Stern clubs are listed below. While some clubs offer both Exploratory and Team Programs, others may offer only one or the other. If you have any questions about a specific club’s program, please contact the club directly.

PROGRAM TIMELINES

All Exploratory Programs will open application forms from February 1st to February 7th. Interviews will take place from February 7th to February 14th. Decisions will be released on February 15th.

INTER-CLUB COUNCIL

Undergraduate Liaison Program

Time Commitment: 10 hours per week

Application Timeline: 2/1 - 2/7

ICC's flagship program, the Undergraduate Liaison (UL) program, is open to members of Stern's Class of 2029. Applications close on Saturday, February 7th, at 11:59 PM ET, and selected candidates will be invited to interview.

Undergraduate Liaisons Have the Opportunity To:

  • Learn how Stern’s club system operates while helping plan events and shape new initiatives.

  • Participate in weekly ICC E-Board meetings and ICC General Meetings with all Stern club presidents.

  • Engage in weekly UL workshops led by ICC's Mentorship Directors and meet upperclassmen mentors. UL workshops will focus on career exploration, including investment banking and consulting, and on developing important professional skills.

  • Gain exposure to all 34 Stern clubs through ICC-hosted events and socials. Current E-Board members and former ULs are part of various other organizations, such as MCG, SVS, SOF, 180DC, and more.

  • Be considered for future leadership positions in ICC. All current E-Board members were previously ULs during their freshman year.

Eligibility Requirements & Application Timeline:

All Stern undergraduates in the Class of 2029 are eligible to apply. If selected, 1st round interviews will be held from Monday, February 9th to Wednesday, February 11th. 2nd round interviews will be held on Friday, February 13th.

  • ActSoc Mentorship Program

    NYU Actuarial Society's mentorship program pairs each student with an upperclassman mentor. No prior knowledge or experience is needed to join. All are welcome! The mentor will be able to offer any help that the mentee needs, including career choices, actuarial questions, or anything else in general! We will also have fun mentorship events throughout the semester!

    Actuarial Society Technical Team Program

    NYU Actuarial Society's Technical Team is a program that teaches students interested in harnessing data analysis skill with Excel and Python. All are welcome! The program introduces students to basic excel functions like pivot tables and VBA, as well as basic introduction to Python, data analysis with Pandas and visualization with seaborn. At the end of the program, student will be presented with a case study and they will be tasked to solve it.

  • Mentorship Program

    The NYU Blockchain and Fintech Mentorship Program is an intensive 10-week experience designed to immerse students in the world of emerging financial technology. Mentees will understand the fundamentals of Blockchain, Fintech, and De-Fi while also getting hands on experience in these fields. Although the focus is on emerging financial technology, the key critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills that we develop are applicable to any and all fields.

    Participants are also paired up with experienced e-board members who offer personalized guidance about their field of interest. Our mentees will receive tailored advice on enhancing their professional profiles, through resume and LinkedIn optimization, as well as recruiting events, to best prepare them for their professional pursuits. In addition to the curriculum, B&F Mentorship fosters a tight-knit community, creating friendships and lifelong bonds on all levels of the club.

    Kalshi Development Team

    This semester, we’re reimagining how retail investors interact with risk. In partnership with Kalshi, the leading prediction market by volume in the U.S., we’re building a user-focused hedging dashboard designed for everyday users that democratizes hedging into an effective tool for the masses. The project blends personal finance, market mechanics, and sharp product design to give consumers more agency over uncertainty, letting them hedge on the outcomes that shape their lives. For this team, we are looking for both strong full-stack engineers who want to build fast, reliable systems end to end, and quant-minded members excited to think deeply about markets, probabilities, and incentives that drive the product.

    Investments Team

    We manage multiple cryptocurrency portfolios in partnership with Artemis (crypto-data platform similar to Bloomberg) and Collab Currency (a large strictly crypto VC). With approximately $100,000 in assets under management, our team focuses on preparing members for buy-side crypto investing by emphasizing rigorous research and the development of differentiated, high-conviction investment ideas to drive returns.

    The Analyst Program is an intensive, 10-week-long experience designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the financial services industry. Through a series of weekly workshops, professional development opportunities, and one-on-one mentorship, participants will gain a deep understanding of finance fundamentals and be well-prepared for any career path they choose to pursue.

    Upon completing this comprehensive training, analysts will have the unique opportunity to pitch equity investment ideas directly to the BlackGen Capital investment fund.     The CMC Workshop Team is a semester-long commitment designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in markets, macroeconomics, and various financial topics. Workshop members work in groups to complete two projects during the semester: A macro pitch on a particular market, asset class, or trade idea and an investment banking-style stock pitch on an individual company.

    The program will equip students with concrete modeling and technical skills while also building a rigorous foundation in economics.

    At NYU Stern Economic Development Group, we focus on bringing attention to underreported global news stories with wide ranging economic implications. The Journalism program will allow you to become your own expert on a specific geographic region or industry by analyzing economic trends, political influences, and social development opportunities. By the end of this semester-long program, you will produce an editorial (long-form writing piece) on your chosen region/industry and have the opportunity to produce a related news video. Weekly meetings will help you strengthen your academic writing, hone interpersonal and presentational skills during pitches, and most importantly, be part of a close community within Stern. You will also have the opportunity to build valuable professional skills, including networking and effectively conveying your story to recruiters.     EDG ASTRA

    Time Commitment: 3-5 hours for the instructional cohort; 5-7 hours for the practical cohort

    Application Requirements: For freshman applicants, a resume is optional. For sophomore & junior applicants, a resume is required to be submitted as part of the application. The application includes 4 required and 1 optional short answer question.

    Prior Knowledge: Basic prior knowledge of key business concepts such as revenue, profit, and cost structures is helpful, but not required, as is familiarity with consulting. We expect participants to be able to approach problems systematically and think critically about solutions (not necessarily in a business context). For the purposes of interviewing, we expect participants to be able to demonstrate their ability to think strategically, quantitatively, and analytically.

    The ASTRA Consulting program aims to empower its participants to think critically about economic development in the context of strategy consulting and program management.

    Instructional Cohort:

    The Investing Team develops a fundamental understanding of venture capital and investing in the startup landscape. Over the 9-week program, team members will explore and build foundational skills, forming research-driven investment theses and developing business strategies for new products in new markets.

    The Startup Team provides a deep dive into startups and their broader ecosystem. The 9-week program focuses on product-centered skills, technical tools and real-world exposure to support our team members who may one day join a startup, start a project of their own, or even invest in other startups.

    IAG Training Program

    The IAG Training Program is a 10-week program focused on accounting, valuation, idea generation, and the tenets of value investing. The training program curriculum will include, but not be limited to developing bottom-up business intuition through detailed company and industry analysis, deep dives into value investing literature and fund letters, mastering accounting and valuation frameworks and crafting investment theses, industry overviews, and devil’s-advocate analyses.     Agora Editorial Board

    The Agora Editorial Board is a collaborative and creative team that allows students to create passion projects and articles for the NYU community to read. Editorial board writers will regularly contribute to publishing weekly articles that discuss marketing trends, delve into case studies, and provide insights into the industry.
    In addition to creating content, editorial board writers are required to attend all Content team-related meetings, which will be held regularly. Writers are encouraged to explore and create content through a variety of creative formats, including videos and podcasts, along with articles.

    The Private Equity Group offers a year-long advanced workshop. Designed to thoroughly train select students beyond what is covered in general member meetings, the program helps students prepare for and navigate the banking and buy-side recruiting processes.
